Active Aging Series – Incontinence: The Silent Epidemic

wwRockford Health System and Wesley Willows are proud to present the Active Aging series of educational topics for your healthy life. Active Aging presentations will be offered the first Thursday of every month. The events, held at 4142 Johns Farm Road in the Town Center of Wesley Willows, are free and the public is welcome to attend.

The series continues on Thursday, May 5 at 4 p.m. with a discussion entitled “Incontinence: The Silent Epidemic.” Although many women are bothered by a loss of bladder control and pelvic discomfort they are often not aware that these problems have a name, much less how common they really are. Incontinence and pelvic floor problems are remarkably common but many women are reluctant to seek help because of the stigma associated with these conditions. Thomas Toussaint, M.D., a urogynecologist at the Women’s Center at Rockford Health System, will discuss the newest techniques available to treat the issues so you can live a healthy life.
