Rockford Health System and Wesley Willows are proud to present the Active Aging series of educational topics for your healthy life. Active Aging presentations will be offered the first Thursday of every month. The events, held at 4142 Johns Farm Road in the Town Center of Wesley Willows, are free and the public is welcome to attend.
The series continues on Thursday, April 7 at 4 p.m. with a discussion entitled “Beating Heart Surgery.” As medicine advances, new techniques that reduce the risk for complications are adopted. One such advancement is beating heart surgery. After surgery on a beating heart, there is generally a quicker recovery, shorter hospital stay and less chance for complications. Join Timothy Swain, MD, a cardiothoracic surgery at Rockford Health System, who will discuss how this procedure can help you get back to your healthy life.
