Rockford Health System and Wesley Willows are proud to present the Active Aging series of educational topics for your healthy life. Active Aging presentations will be offered the first Thursday of every month. The events, held at 4142 Johns Farm Road in the Town Center of Wesley Willows, are free and the public is welcome to attend.
The series continues on Thursday, March 3 at 4 p.m. with a discussion entitled “What You Need to Know About Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis.” Osteoarthritis, which occurs when protective bone cartilage wears down over time, is the most common form of arthritis. Osteoporosis, which causes bones to become weak, commonly occurs in the hips, wrist or spine. Both cause pain and difficulty with daily activities. Join Tami Kucia, PA-C, RD, LDN, a physician assistant who specializes in rheumatology at Rockford Health System, who will discuss how you can prevent and treat these diseases so you can live a healthy life.
